The Together mode

Teams creates more connection!

Meeting online, with each participant from their own living room: it creates an informal atmosphere. That's for sure. But with that also for a feeling as if there is no connection anymore. Microsoft has done something about that by adding Together mode to its Teams video calling service.

In a lecture hall or meeting room

All meet as if you were in one room together. Where you can also choose where you are then, because you can, for example, choose both lecture desks (ideal for lectures) but also a table where you all sit together. Depending on your meeting or presentation, which background suits best, of course. How this is possible? Your profile is cut out and placed in a virtual space, just like the other participants. The result is actually astonishingly good. Artificial intelligence You can easily choose this in Teams, just like for other functions, such as the dynamic mode, where you can show more clearly who, for example, provides the presentation and who is watching. The artificial intelligence that provides both options also optimizes the content you share.

Break in groups

Microsoft has clearly been optimizing the new normal when it comes to conferencing. It was of course possible to interrupt and consult in small groups, but was always only possible by starting separate meetings for this purpose. That is also a thing of the past if you use Teams. Microsoft is also introducing breakout rooms, so you can continue the meeting in other configurations.

Lots of possibilities with Teams

All things considered, this is just a small selection of all possibilities . For example, you can raise your hand with a virtual hand if you want to speak, Cortana can help to join the meeting without you having to do anything and you can even be warned if you are staying with too many people in 1 room! With all new applications, virtual meetings are becoming an increasingly pleasant alternative to the "old" way of meeting.
