Curious Case of Bingo

Take some time (out) for an Online Energizer where you get to know your team from the inside out. The contents of their bags, that is! Some courage is required, though. Do you play this Energizer announced in advance, or totally unexpected? And what do you put on the (play) list? What someone carries around says a lot about that person as a person. Steps:

• • • This equally simple and funny game hinges on an entertaining list of some 10 to 20 or so products. This list is created at the discretion of the game preparer and, of course, can be reused in different teams. The list includes passable products/items that people carry with them in their business suitcase, handbag or backpack at work, such as a smartphone or agenda. You should also put some special bonus objects on it. For example, a roll of candy, an amulet, or anything else that’s a little more rare.
    • When the game is played during an online meeting, all participants must place their bag clearly visible in front of the camera. They mustn’t be able to take the requested product from somewhere else!
    • 1 by 1 the game leader now reads out the products. Whoever has the object with them puts it in front of them and gets 1 point.
    • The game leader can make the game as specific (or pleasantly weird) as desired. A blue smartphone, a Mentos roll, a fountain pen.
    • The fun is in all the things you and your colleagues apparently like to be dragging around with them. This time acting like a squirrel gets rewarded!
    • At the same time, this Online Energizer is a great opportunity for an open conversation about things like less is more. Which objects create too many distractions? After te game, you may well unleash the Mary Kondo in yourself.
    • Think also about asking for completely unnecessary things like fruit peels, an (empty) pack of cigarettes, or crumpled papers.
    • In larger meetings you can also play the Online Energizer Bag Bingo between different teams. Department against department!
    • Shorter variation: Make a list with only 3 to 5 not too frequently occurring elements. The winner treats the teammates at the next meeting!
